Our Story

Wild West Paddle Club is a nonprofit organization offering whitewater kayaking instruction for young, aspiring paddlers in Cody, Wyoming. Originally started by a group of dedicated local kayakers in 2014, the group was formed to provide an opportunity for local youth to learn the sport of kayaking. Over the years the club has grown, but the heart of the program is still a group of dedicated kayakers wanting to pass the knowledge on to the next generation.

Instruction

WWPC offers courses starting at the beginner level and provide progression to advanced kayaking courses. Courses are lead by American Canoe Association certified instructors.

Located in Cody, the club has the advantage of having the Shoshone River in town as well as a number of lakes for instruction to take place. These bodies of water provide the perfect environment to learn about water safety and how to have fun outside while learning to kayak.
